Farmstead Alehouse starts with its own Vermont artisan cheddar, then makes this Vermont staple tipsy by adding two kinds of brew from Harpoon. They use both their Munich Dark and their IPA to soak the curds during the cheese making process for full ale flavor. Farmstead then uses an imported peg mill to tear the curds giving them more surface area to really soak up the flavor of the beer. Alehouse Cheddar leads with a fragrant ale nose, has a flavorful balance of cheddar and nuts and ends with a strong hop finish. Makes a great pairing partner to any brew.

Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company began as a community effort to preserve a picturesque 18-acre dairy farm in South Woodstock, Vt in 2009. Passionate residents raised money to purchase the land, buildings and equipment in hopes that it would remain a dairy farm. With the generous contributions and tireless efforts of an entire community, Vermont Farmstead became the first community-owned artisan cheese and dairy facility in the state.
