Clos Pons Sisquella Blanco 2015 - Catalonia, Spain
Varietals: Garnacha Blanca, Moscatel de Alejandria, and Albarino
A light-medium bodied white wine from the Costers del Segre region in Spain. A stunning blend of Garnacha Blanc, Albarino and Moscatell de Alejandría – Sisquella is a beautiful white wine that stands out in a red wine area. Powerful sweetness in the nose with tropical notes of pineapple and lemon, ripe white fruit, toasty flavours and vanilla accents coming from a light ageing in French oak. It is elegantly spiced with citric and very refreshing notes.
Clos Pons is located in the region of Las Garrigas, South of the province of Lleida, in the municipalities of the Albagés and La Pobla de Cérvoles. Scarce rainfall, cold winters and very warm summers, an altitude of 500 to 700 meters and burdensome and poor in organic matter, soil constitute the ideal space for wine of great quality, eco-friendly in our case.
The Winery is located on a hill that dominates all the vineyard. A construction which follows the concept of the French "Chateau" or the American "Estate". An integrated production where the grape turns into wine in the same place where is the vineyard. Technology meets traditional methods at this facility where everything is designed to work with respect to the quality and maintain the properties of the "terroir" maximum in wines.
The Clos Pons Wine Club proposes a different way of discovering, learn, and enjoy the wine. Forming part of the Wine Club you can benefit from great advantages and unique experiences such as events of the club and access to limited production wines.
