Chateau Jouclary Cabardes Rouge - Languedoc, France 750mL
Varietals: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Grenache
“Carbardes” is garnet-red. The intense nose suggestive of liquorice sweet, black olive and prune with toasted oak undercurrents. Powerful, warm palate. Ripe, mediterranean fragrances linger on and on. Melted oak. A chewy wine with a real sense of place.
Guilhaume de Jouclary, consul of Carcassone in 1530, gave his name to the Chateau. The unique terrior, at the meeting point between Mediterranean and tlantic climatic influences enables the exceptional blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Grenache grapes. The south facing slopes of chalk and clay soil reveal our wines full potential. The Cuvee Tradition, full bodied with rich fruit should be served at 16 degrees Celsius. Family property since 1969.
